Abandoning a job
Seems there ought to be a way to undo taking a job. I downloaded a pdf of a document that someone is looking to get proof-read. The instructions are to copy the text into Word and turn on track changes. Easy enough, except that all of the formatting goes kaplooee. I'm really not interested in spending the rest of my evening fixing the formatting, before I even begin the proofreeding.

Abandon Thread
You can now abandon a thread manually. Abandoning a thread manually will slightly decrease your rating, but not as much as if it expires or is rejected.
The best practice is to only take a thread if you understand all of the instructions and believe you can complete the job on time. Of course, sometimes instructions are unclear and you have no choice.

In the near future, there will be a way to abandon a thread.
As for that particular job: If the instructions did not say to reformat, then you don't have to. It is currently a problem with PDF transferring to Word and eventually we will have a Word slicer in place to solve that very problem.
