Lots of stuff you might want to know about JobSpooler

Why can't I see my own Jobs in the Browse list?

Jobs that you post will not show up in some of the lists on the site, including the Browse Jobs list (because you can't accept a thread assignment from your own job).

In order to view all of your posted jobs, just click on My Jobs and they will appear. To see all the jobs you've worked on, click My Threads.

Why did my rating suddenly change?

Ratings can change for a number of reasons. In general, ratings are calculated through a complex formula that takes into account threads taken, submitted, abandoned, approved, rejected, total volume and manager satisfaction. Each time a thread that you have worked on changes status, your rating will change slightly.

In addition, on occasion major changes to your rating can suddenly occur when JobSpooler changes or recalculates the rating systems. This is not common, but will continue to happen during the beta stage.

I worked on a thread but I didn't get paid, what gives?

If you worked on a thread but weren't notified of payment, it is possible that one of the following happened:
1. you did not submit the work within the deadline and another SpoolSmith finished the assignment.
2. you entered data into a webform or uploaded a file but did not finish the submission process by clicking the large submit button on your thread.
3. the thread was sent back for revision but was not completed within the deadline.
4. the thread submission was rejected.

If you require more information, tech support would require the URL of the specific thread you worked on in order to further investigate.

I need to post a job with thousands of threads but I can't, how come?

Your job may legitimately require thousands of threads in order to be completed but we are currently capping the threadcount at 1000 per job in order to reduce frivolous use of the system. We are looking at other methods of doing this but for the time being, you can post your job again after the first batch of threads are completed.
